Immediate Information You Need to Know

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION RULES SUSPENDED BY LA DEPT OF INSURANCE
Note that all notices of cancellation for non-payment of premium for policy holders in affected areas have been suspended until October 25th, 2005, as per emergency regulations adopted by the Louisiana Department of Insurance. These regulations include your LIPCA General Liability policy premium; of course, LIPCA will work with PCOs to help them in any way possible recover from this tragedy.

RELOCATING PCOS STARTING A NEW BUSINESS OUT-OF-STATE
For those PCOs that are relocating and starting a business in a new state, note that your LIPCA General Liability insurance coverage should satisfy the insurance requirements. Simply contact the LIPCA office to add the new location to your policy and to have a Certificate of Insurance sent to your new regulatory agency.

ALL LIPCA LOSS CONTROL WORKSHOPS CANCELED
LIPCA Loss Control Workshops for the fall of 2005 have been canceled. LIPCA PCO insureds who attended the 2004 workshops will receive credit for attendance.

TERMITE TRAINING CENTER OCT & NOV CLASSES POSTPONED
The LSU Lois Caffey Termite Training Center has postponed the October 5-6 Basic Termite Training Class and the November 9-10 Master Technician Class; an announcement of the resecheduled dates will be made soon. Refunds will be sent to those who have preregistered for those sessions.

OLDHAM CHEMICAL OFFERING LOANER SPRAY RIGS

FILING HOMEOWNERS OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION CLAIMS
Please be sure to contact your agent for claims regarding homeowners or business-related property insurance claims immediately. Some policies may have coverage for business interruption, which protects you in the event that your customer base or suppliers have trouble; please contact your agent regarding this type of coverage.

FILING A FEMA FLOOD/STORM CLAIM

ORKIN OFFERS HELP TO LA PCOS
The regional office of Orkin Exterminating has offered assistance to its fellow PCOs in the affected areas and to those who have been relocated due to the storm. Contact Regional Manager Paige Breaux at the Orkin Regional Office in Baton Rouge at 225-751-0592.

DISPOSAL OF ADULTERATED PESTICIDE CONTAINERS
Please note the disposal instructions on the label and labeling of pesticide containers damaged in the storm or by flooding. If you not allowed by label to place them in regular trash disposal, please retain them until the Department of Agriculture advises the industry and the association on the proper means of disposal.

LIPCA OFFERS EMAIL ADDRESSES, INTERNET ACCESS
For those PCOs in the affected areas who have had their email service disrupted, LIPCA is offering the use of its email server; once established, emails can be checked though any internet connection. Contact Allen Herring, LIPCA Desktop and Network Administrator, at 1-800-893-9887, for instructions on how to set up an email address.

In addition, LIPCA is opening its doors to PCOs who need internet access to check email, file claims and research resources; please stop by the LIPCA office, 3042 Old Forge Drive, Baton Rouge, 70808, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. NPMA KATRINA RELIEF FUND DISPURSAL
Rob Lederer, Executive Vice President of the National Pest Management Association, will be at the LPMA office on Thursday, October 6th from 10:00am to 4:00pm to dispurse funds raised to provide relief for affected PCOs. Dispursments will be in $250 increments, and must be made in person only on that date. See this MAP TO THE OFFICE for directions to the Baton Rouge office.
